Flares CRM · Security & access

Who can see what, and what gets recorded.

Access follows the job somebody does. One organization’s customers are separate from every other organization’s. And whatever you put in, you can take back out.

Roles

Five roles that describe real jobs.

Not a permission matrix to maintain per person. A role says what somebody does, and the access follows from it.

Sales Rep

Works their own customers. Sees the records they own.

Sales Manager

Runs a team, and sees the team’s customers and deals.

Executive

Sees the whole business without needing to administer it.

RevOps

Owns how the CRM works — pipelines, stages, custom properties.

Read only

Can see the CRM and change nothing.

Scoping

One rule, in every direction data leaves.

What a person may see is decided once and applied everywhere — the contact list, a company, universal search, a report, an export. A rule enforced in four places is a rule with four chances to disagree with itself.

Lists and records

A rep’s list contains the customers they own.

Search

Universal search cannot surface a record the person could not otherwise open.

Reports

Reporting is scoped the same way, so a report cannot become a way around the rule.

Exports

A CSV contains what that person could already see, and no more.

Separation

Your organization is your own.

CRM records belong to the organization that created them. Another organization on Flares cannot see them, search them or export them.

The account is the foundation

Flares CRM uses the same Flares account and organization as the rest of the company’s Flares products — so people, roles and sign-in are managed in one place rather than a separate CRM user list.

Actions are recorded

Changes leave a trail, so the history of an account includes who changed it and when.

Being straight about it

What we do not claim.

Flares does not currently hold SOC 2 or ISO 27001 certification, and Flares CRM does not offer SAML single sign-on, SCIM provisioning or customer-managed encryption keys. If your procurement requires any of those, tell us and we will give you a straight answer about timing rather than a badge on a marketing page.
